It's been a jam-packed month so far with plenty of updates, minor fixes, and overall platform improvements. Here's a recap of what we've been up to lately and new updates in the platform.

Additional information on items

We've added a few options and fields for you to complete when creating or updating items on an order. These include the following:

  • Weight

  • Type (frozen, ambient, chilled)

  • Dimensions (W x D x H)

They're not mandatory, but will obviously help us maintaining a high quality in our deliveries.

Order-specific delivery requirements

Previously, we've only been able to set specific delivery requirements for an entire delivery group, meaning that all orders should be delivered in the same way.

Now, we've finally added the possibility to update delivery requirements for specific orders. When editing an order, you can select if you want to require the following methods upon delivery:

  • Signature - Recipient provides signature on the driver's phone

  • ID check - Driver validates the ID of the recipient

  • In-person delivery - Order is not allowed to be left outside

Note: Adding specific delivery requirements limits the driver's flexibility. This might have a negative impact on the delivery success rate, so use it wisely.

Icons on order and route overview

Items that are marked as frozen will add a snowflake icon on the order as well as the route it belongs to. Orders that have delivery requirements such as ID check or signature will also have icons notifying about these special requirements.

The information is also passed along to drivers in the Driver App.

Order changes are logged in the timeline

We're now logging activity and updates that users make to an order.

This includes more detailed information about changes, including updated delivery date and time window, so that you can keep track of what changes have been made and by who.

General fixes and improvements

  • Moved 'Tracking Page' settings to its own tab for easy access. You can now find it under 'Account' and next to 'Settings'.

  • Added a filter in Activity on routes that require freezer

  • Added support for specifying maximum travel time for vehicles in Planning (great for electric vans).

  • Updated the 'Nearby' SMS so that it will be sent based on driver location instead of previous stops. We'll send it when the driver is ~30 minutes away from the stop.

  • Fixed a bug causing some information (for example ‘Address 2’) being removed when editing an order.
