You can configure the SMS events to be sent automatically when the orders are being handled in your delivery flow to keep your end customer up to date with their delivery. The text messages are configured under each Delivery Group.
Finding the SMS events configuration page
Go to the Delivery Group you wish to configure the SMS events for by clicking on 'Account' in the left-hand menu and then 'Delivery Group' in the top menu.
When in the Delivery Group, click on 'SMS'.
How to configure SMS events
To the left, you will find all of the available triggers that can be used to send text messages.
Select an event from the 'SMS events' list and toggle it on to activate it.
Compose your message in the text box to personalise it to fit your company's tone of voice!
Use the functions below the text box to insert dynamic information. The functions will be replaced with actual values for each delivery.
Once done, click on 'Save message'.
Send yourself, or a colleague, a test SMS to verify. We recommend being as short and as straight to the point as possible to make sure no communication gets lost in translation!
Continue activating the rest of the SMS events you feel are necessary for your delivery flow.
Note:
All SMS messages are sent from an alphanumeric sender name that the end customer cannot reply to.
The sender name can be configured and has a maximum of 11 characters. For example, 'Gordon'. Please contact us for more information.
