Having the correct addresses is the be-all and end-all for all deliveries. Once an order has been uploaded to our platform, we run a check to identify the GPS coordinates (longitude & latitude), to ensure accuracy.

Sometimes, we're not able to confirm the address. This is flagged as a partial match or missing coordinates in the platform and can be found in the 'Planning' module.

  • Partial match = We can somewhat accurately verify the GPS coordinates and carry out a delivery. Action is encouraged, but not required.

  • Missing coordinates = We’re unable to accurately verify the address’ GPS coordinates. Action required.

In order to continue the planning and move along with your routes, you need to confirm the location of the address. The coordinates are then saved to the address and will be used for future reference as well.

How to update coordinates

There are two ways in which you can update the coordinates. Both options require you to follow these initial steps:

  1. Navigate to ‘Planning’ and filter down so that you can see orders marked as ‘Partial Match’ or ‘Missing Coordinates’.

  2. You can filter to only show orders with a partial match or missing coordinates by clicking on the checkbox.

  3. Next, select what order you'd like to update coordinates for. Click on the dot on the map and you're redirected to the order details page.

Update by click on the map

  1. Press on the '📍' icon in the top right corner.

  2. Click on the map where the address is and then click on 'Save coordinates'.

  3. The order is no longer flagged as a partial match/missing coordinate.

Update coordinates using a link

  • Search for the address using the map service of your choice (e.g. Google Maps). The important thing is that the URL contains coordinate information.

  • Once you've found the address, copy the URL in the browser and go back to the order in Last Mile.

  • Press on the '📍' icon in the top right corner and paste the link. Hit 'Save'. Your coordinates have been updated.
