Gordon allows you to send text messages and trigger SMS events directly from the platform.
In this article, we'll have a quick walkthrough of the different events that are available, at what point they are triggered and from where.
Status | Comment |
New * | The order has been created in the platform. SMS will be sent out 30 minutes after it's been imported. |
Planned * | The order that's been planned and confirmed on a route. |
On the way * | The order is on a route that has been started by the driver. |
Nearby * | The order is approx. 30 minutes away from the customer. |
Cancelled | The order has been cancelled in Last Mile. |
Customer cancelled | The order has been cancelled in Last Mile upon customer request. |
Not on route | The order was not scanned or found on the route when loading. |
Missing from producer | The order has not been received from the producer or sent from the packing area. |
Wrong depot | The order has arrived at the wrong depot and can't be delivered on the intended route. |
Damaged goods | The order was damaged and not in good enough condition to be delivered. |
Unable to deliver | The driver can't deliver the order to the customer. |
Too late to deliver | It's too late to deliver the order. This status is set in Last Mile and can refer to either too late

Partially delivered | A part of the order (one or more parcels) was successfully delivered. |
Delivered | Successful in-person delivery of the entire order to the end customer. |
Delivered outside | Successful delivery, outside the door, of the entire order. |
* These events are automatically triggered based on order status and driver location.
On the way or nearby?
We don’t want to spam end customers with text messages. If ‘On the way’ and ‘Nearby’ are close to one another, only ‘Nearby’ will be triggered. This is usually the case for stops early on the route, so make sure to have at least 'Nearby' activated, but preferably both.
