If you frequently use the same group of vehicles for multiple routes, it might be a good idea to add a preset of vehicles to your account. A vehicle preset is a collection of pre-defined vehicles you can easily include when adding vehicles to a route. In this article, you will learn everything you need to know about managing vehicle presets, including how to create, modify, delete and use them.
Note: Vehicle presets are shared among all users on your account, and any changes you make to them will apply to all users.
Where to manage vehicle presets
You can manage your account's vehicle presets within the 'Add Vehicle' window in the Planning module. Here's how to access it:
Navigate to the Planning module by clicking on ‘Planning’ in the left-side menu.
On the route tab in the left-side menu, click the ‘Add’ button next to ‘Vehicles’.
Note: Before you can click on ‘Add’ you need to select orders to route.The ‘Add vehicle’ window will appear where you can specify vehicle information.
Create a new preset
Step 1: Add one or several vehicle sets
To create a new vehicle preset, start by adding the vehicles you want to include in the preset. You can add one or multiple vehicle sets. If you are unsure how to do this, follow the instructions (steps 2 and 3) on this page.
Step 2: Create preset
When you have added the vehicles you wish to include, you can create the preset. To add the vehicles in the vehicle list to your preset:
Click on the ‘Create preset’ button located below the list of vehicle sets.
Give the preset a unique and descriptive name to make it easy to identify.
Click on ‘Add preset’ to add the preset to your account.
Congrats, you have now created a preset!
How to use a preset
You can access your account's existing presets in the 'Saved Presets' dropdown menu. To use a preset, follow these steps:
Locate the preset you want to use in the dropdown menu.
Click on the preset name.
You will now see the vehicle sets from the selected preset in the vehicle list at the bottom of the window.
Modify existing presets
You can view and modify your account's existing presets in the 'Saved Presets' dropdown menu. To make changes to an existing preset, or create a new preset based on an existing one, follow these steps:
Find and click on the preset you want to modify in the dropdown menu.
Make your changes to the preset. For example, you can add new sets of vehicles or remove existing ones.
Scroll down and click:
‘Update preset’: If you want to update the preset
‘Create preset’: If you want to create a new preset based on the existing one. Give the new preset a name and click 'Add Preset.'
Delete a preset
To delete one of your account's existing presets, follow these steps:
Locate and click on the preset you want to delete in the 'Saved Presets' dropdown menu.
Next to the preset dropdown menu, click on the trash can symbol
Confirm the deletion by clicking ‘Yes’ when asked, “Are you sure?”
The preset will be deleted from the account.
