Updated this week

Hope you found a little time to recharge this summer. Meanwhile, we just shipped a few features we think you’ll like.

Let's have a look at what the development team has been up to lately!

🔀 Flexible stops in Gordon Driver

Drivers can now freely deviate from the routed stop sequence and complete whichever stop they want. This gives them more freedom to adapt their route based on real-world conditions and make changes on the fly. Here are some common use cases:

  • Traffic delays – if a road is blocked or heavily congested, the driver can choose to complete another stop first.

  • Recipient availability – if a customer isn’t home yet, the driver can adjust and return later without disrupting the rest of the route.

  • Urgent matters – if a customer later on the route needs the delivery ASAP, the driver can prioritise that customer.

With flexible stops, your drivers are empowered to make smarter decisions on the road – leading to better efficiency and an improved delivery experience.

Note: If you wish to activate this feature, contact us and we’ll make it happen!

🗒️ Improved clarity with location notes

You can now add location notes on specific orders and addresses addresses – a great way for sharing information between back office and drivers that makes deliveries smoother and more efficient.

Common use cases include parking instructions, how to fight the right entrance, or other practical tips and know-how to ensure a successful delivery.

Comments stay with the address so it will automatically appear for all future stops at the same location. The comments can be added, and viewed, both in Gordon Last Mile and Gordon Driver. It will not be visible to recipients.

New updates

  • We noticed that some of you have created a lot of quick routing templates. So to make it easier to manage, we added a search functionality for those templates.

  • For routes using service time based on order properties, we have now introduced a section on a planned order showing why it has its service time.

♻️ Other fixes and improvements

  • Split our temperature deviation filter into two: temperature missing and temperature deviating.

  • All order and item requirements are displayed on the order in route details.
