Updating address coordinates

Written by Rasmus Hallgren
Updated today

Overview

Address coordinates (latitude and longitude) determine the exact location of a delivery on the map.

If coordinates are incorrect or missing, it can affect routing, navigation, and delivery accuracy. Updating coordinates ensures that the order is positioned correctly for planning and execution.

How to update coordinates

  1. Navigate to Search.

  2. Open the order you want to update.

  3. Click the map marker icon in the top-right corner.

  4. Update the coordinates using one of the following methods:

    • Point on the map and move the pin to set the correct location.

    • Paste a Google Maps link with the address to automatically set coordinates. The link should contain longitude and latitude as part of the URL.

  5. Confirm the updated location.

The order will now use the new coordinates for planning and routing.

When to update coordinates

You may need to update coordinates if:

  • The address is not correctly placed on the map

  • The delivery location is in a complex area (e.g. large buildings, rural areas)

  • The system could not automatically determine coordinates

Important notes

  • Accurate coordinates improve route optimisation and driver navigation

  • Updating coordinates does not change the written address, only the map position

  • Ensure the pin is placed at the exact delivery location (e.g. entrance or loading area)
